An empty former wedding dress shop is to be given a new lease of life, reopening as a new food store next to Coe's in Ipswich's Norwich Road.
The new Imperio food stores business has applied to Ipswich Borough Council for the sale of alcohol at the premises.
The application was for permission for the off licence sale of alcohol between Monday and Sunday, from 9am to 10pm, after the company was established in March.
The site was previously the Just a Day bridalwear shop, which closed in June last year after 26 years in Norwich Road.
Owner Sharon Higgs said last year she was looking forward to an "exciting new chapter" at a new unit.
Her business reopened in a Grade II-listed barn in Little Blakenham, which became home to the owner's three firms - Just a Day Bridalwear, Brides of St Peters and Promloft, also known as Broomvale Bridal Barns.
Representations in favour or in objection to the licence application must be made in writing to Ipswich Borough Council.
