Hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of damage has been caused to a manor house near Ipswich after it was broken into.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the break-in, which took place at Belstead House between 4pm on Friday (May 31) and 7.45am today (Monday, June 3).
Valuable books, artwork, dining ware, windows and window frames were damaged by intruders.
The damage is estimated to total hundreds of thousands of pounds, according to Suffolk police.
Belstead House is currently undergoing extensive restoration work.
