A new restaurant, bar and café is set to open this month serving locally sourced British and European cuisine.

Marian Coltofean, 44, and Monika Banasiak, 37 will open MoniMar, at Woolverstone Marina at the end of June and they say they are "excited" to make a splash with their new waterfront property.

Alongside Marina owners, MDL, the couple have completely refurbished the former property of Loch & Quay to create an exciting new space.

Head of the front of house, Marian, said "I am very excited about the location. It is the ideal spot and we are very happy about our partner's MDL.

"We are very excited and can't wait to have fun with our new business and get to know everyone at the Marina."

Marian also added that all the food served at the restaurant will be locally sourced, with potatoes coming from local business Mayhew's, fish from Young's and meat from Woody's.

MoniMar will be working alongside MDL, which owns the whole of Woolverstone Marina, including 235 pontoon berths, 45 swinging moorings and a water taxi service.
