Five roads in Ipswich are set to be closed for repairs this week.

Carriageway resurfacing will be taking place along Reynolds Road, Shannon Road, Turner Road, Romney Road and Cotman Road. 

Suffolk Highways said the work will be completed in three phrases between 7pm and 5am until Friday, June 7. 

During this time the roads will be closed to ensure the safety of operatives. 

The works began on Monday.

A different diversion route will be in place for each of the phases. 

For phase one the diversion route is Landseer Road, Clapgate Lane and Turner Road. 

During phase two, drivers will be diverted along Chesapeake Road, Reynolds Road, Reynolds Avenue and Turner Road. 

Finally, the phase three diversion will follow Reynolds Road, Landseer Road and Clapgate Lane.
