An Indian restaurant has shared its pride after being shortlisted for two "highly coveted" national awards.
Chequers Indian Lounge has received even more national recognition with nominations in the 13th English Curry Awards 2024.
The restaurant has been shortlisted for Fine Dining Restaurant Of The Year and Team of The Year with both categories open to restaurants across the country.
Nasir Jilani, owner of the restaurant, said: "We look forward to the exciting awards nights with immense pride and gratitude, whatever the outcome, knowing our customers deem us worthy of such an honour has already made us winners."

The finalists for the awards represent some of the best of the English curry scene.
A spokesman for the English Curry Awards said: "These highly coveted awards honour the passion, dedication and sheer culinary genius behind England's iconic curry houses and restaurants.
"We are thrilled to provide a platform to celebrate the individuals elevating the nation's love for curry to new heights through their tireless efforts."
The awards will take place on Monday, August 19.
