The owners of a pub have improved its unfavourable hygiene rating after treating "structural issues" in the venue's kitchen.
A food hygiene rating of two - meaning 'improvement necessary' - was given to the Beagle in Sproughton after an inspection on February 7.
The food hygiene report was issued to the Hadleigh Road pub by a food safety officer at Babergh and Mid Suffolk district councils.
The inspection of the kitchen and outside storage areas found that although structural issues in the kitchen had been improved in the kitchen, standards of cleaning are still "less than satisfactory".
More attention was needed to clean in hard to reach areas, the report noted, as well as some food counter surfaces.

The inspector also noted how the cleaning equipment itself must also be kept clean, and management systems were failing to identify problems.
However, following a second visit from inspectors in May, the standard of hygiene at the venue was deemed to have improved.
The hygiene standards at the venue were rated four, meaning 'good', two grades higher than the previous rating in February.
No further action was deemed necessary, according to the new report.
A spokesperson for the Beagle said: “We are delighted to confirm The Beagle has been awarded a four-star Environmental Health Officer (EHO) rating following works to improve standards at our venue.
“There were some structural issues raised in February, resulting in a lower rating, but those issues were addressed by the team, who worked with the EHO to make improvements.
“The same inspector visited again on May 23, and was delighted with the work.
"The inspector awarded The Beagle a 4-star and commended our team on the work that was carried out.”
The pub is part of the Vintage Inns chain, which is owned by Mitchells and Butlers.
