A man from Ipswich will face a trial next year after being charged with the theft of a pug.
Darren Wood, 54, of Bramford Lane in Ipswich, appeared before Suffolk Magistrates' Court after being charged theft of a puppy in Ipswich.
The incident in question allegedly took place in October 2023, a court listing said.
It is alleged that a pug, which was worth the value of £800, was stolen from its owners in Ipswich.
After the first hearing Wood was given bail, with the condition that he is not allowed to contact the victims of the case.
He will appear before the magistrates' court next on January 28, next year for his trial to commence.
