Plans have been submitted to the borough council which would see a former Next Outlet store in an Ipswich retail park become a donation centre.
The Salvation Army has submitted plans to Ipswich Borough Council to convert the unit, situated at Suffolk Retail Park in London Road, into a donation centre for the charity.
The application, which is for the signage to go up around the outside of the building, states that the signage would be needed at the premises between August 19, 2024 and August 19, 2029.
The fashion retailer Next closed its branch at the retail park in February this year, with news being met with sadness from those in Ipswich.
Signage on the front would include the main sign, with vinyls in the windows stating "we love your" followed by four different categories - furniture, clothing, electricals and media.
There will also be a vinyl stating "Shop, Donate, Volunteer".
The Next store is at the front of the retail park, which is west of Ipswich town centre and opposite the Lidl supermarket.
