An Ipswich community group are set to host an innovative fundraiser for non-profit businesses.
North West Ipswich Big Local Trust (BLT) is organising a Dragon's Den-style event on September 21, with up to £25,000 cash prizes.
The event will be held at The Beeches Community Primary School, where local businesses that have helped North West Ipswich can make a five-minute-long pitch.
At the end of the pitch, the audience of local residents would decide if their idea deserves an award or not.
The event has a pot of £50,000, with a top prize of £25,000, a second prize of £10,000 and a third prize of £5,000.
Julie Marker, the community projects lead for the BLT, said: "We are thrilled to announce an exciting event that brings our community together in a meaningful way.
"This family-friendly event is an opportunity for residents to have a direct say in which projects receive funding.
"Voting will help to shape the future of our community and we believe that everyone, from our youngest members to our elders has a valuable perspective and a voice to be heard.
"We look forward to seeing you there and working together to make our community an even better place to live."
