St Clement's Church near the Waterfront was turned into the town's biggest real ale centre over the weekend as the 34th Ipswich Beer Festival took place.
Perfect weather gave drinkers the chance to enjoy their pints on the deckchairs and garden furniture - while inside there was space to sample a huge number of beers.
The event was organised by Ipswich and District CAMRA in association with the Briarbank Brewery which is based nearby.
CAMRA chairman Gordon Taylor was busy on the cider stand on Sunday and said there had been a regular stream of visitors to the event.
He said: "We maybe haven't got quite as many as we could - but it's been a great weekend so far as the weather is concerned and there are a lot of other things going on in Suffolk.
"But there's been a great atmosphere and a lot of beer has been drunk - but we should have enough to get us through the whole weekend."
As well as the beer and cider in the pub there were food stands outside in the churchyard for those making an afternoon of the event.
David Vincent is one of the team who has turned the church into a centre for events like this.
He said: "What has been so good is that there are so many people living within a short walk of this venue - so we've had a lot of people passing through.
"That includes quite a few German visitors from Dusseldorf who came here after the match at Portman Road on Saturday afternoon.
"This is now proving to be a popular venue for events like this - long may it continue."
