Death notices shared this week in the EADT and Ipswich Star

In the past week, 47 death notices have been published in the East Anglian Daily Times and the Ipswich Star.

Doreen Florence Revell (née Jordan) passed away peacefully in Uvedale Hall Care Home, on Wednesday July 24, 2024, aged 90 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Henry, loving mum of Sue and Sally, dear mum-in-law of David and Rob, beloved nana of Jemma, Simon, Melanie, Kelly and their families. Doreen will be sadly missed by all her family and many friends.

John Edward Wrathall was the beloved husband of Kathleen, father to Helen and Simon and father-in-law to Estelle Grandad to Dana, Laura, Evie, Mia and Theo. He passed away in Ipswich Hospital on July 22, 2024, aged 96 years.

Robert John Davey, known as 'Bob' from Cotton, passed away in his sleep on July 15, 2024, aged 81 years. A brother, brother-in-law, uncle and great great uncle to Ella.

Ivy Miles' family remembered her on the two-year anniversary of her death. They wrote: "This most amazing lady left us suddenly. Sadly missed, but always in our hearts and thoughts. Love you loads from all the family."

Gwendoline Maud Maiden passed away peacefully on July 31 in New Zealand at the grand age of 100 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Dudley and loving Mum of Carol (Hammond/Mayhew) and Sandy in New Zealand. Cherished Nan to Alastair, Daniel and James (UK) and Andrew, Rebecca and Grant (NZ). Great Nan to 16 and Great Great Nan to two. Formerly teacher at Sidegate Primary School, Ipswich.

Arthur Henry Elliston

Arthur Henry Elliston, known as 'Woody', was a timber and firewood merchant, who died on July 17 2024 at Baylham Care Centre, Needham Market, aged 94. Arthur was born in Elmswell where he spent most of his life. During his national service he took part in the Berlin Airlift at the end of the Second World War. He returned to Elmswell in 1950 and enjoyed a long and successful career in the timber business. He created a magnificent garden at his Elmswell home and, in the evenings, could be found playing the piano, which he loved, with his faithful dog by his side.

Peter John Clarke passed away peacefully on July 22 at Handford House nursing home in Ipswich, aged 91, following a long struggle with dementia. Greatly missed by Paul, Ged, Patrick, Steven and Millie. Now reunited with his wife Thirza.
