A man has been arrested after a "suspicious" house fire in Ipswich.
Emergency services were called to Portman Road at about 5.20am on Tuesday to reports of a house fire.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said six people were in the property at the time and managed to escape.
Four are uninjured, but two people – a man and a woman - have been taken to hospital for treatment for leg fractures after jumping from an upstairs window, and also for smoke inhalation.
Police and the fire service helped evacuate a further 11 people from neighbouring homes as a result of the blaze.
Arrangements are being made with Ipswich Borough Council to accommodate them in a refuge centre until it is safe for them to return to their homes.
The spokesman added: "The incident is being treated as suspicious and initial police enquiries lead officers to believe that this was a localised and targeted attack."
A 24-year-old man from Felixstowe has been arrested in connection with the incident and has been taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
A police cordon remains in place and the road is still closed.
Anyone with any information is being asked to contact Suffolk police quoting the crime reference number 45775/24.
