A 34-year-old man has been banned from the roads and told to pay out more than £600 after being caught drug driving on the A12 outside Ipswich.
Luke Bryanton appeared before Suffolk Magistrates' Court in Ipswich charged with drug driving.
A court listing said the incident happened on the A12 at Copdock, near Ipswich, on November 25, 2022, as Bryanton was accused of having excess levels of benzoylecgonine, a cocaine breakdown product, in his blood while he was behind the wheel of a Ford Galaxy.
A court listing said he had 187 ug/L of benzoylecgonine in his blood.
The defendant, of Spring Road in Ipswich, pleaded guilty to the offence.
Bryanton was handed a driving ban of 12 months.
He was also told to pay costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £400, a fine of £162 and a surcharge of £65.
This meant the total amount Bryanton was instructed to pay out by magistrates was £627.
