There were delays on the A14 at the Orwell Bridge near Ipswich after a tyre on a lorry blew up.
Police were called to A14 near the Nacton Interchange at about 3.30pm on Tuesday to reports of a lorry breaking down following one of its wheels blowing up.
Upon arrival, police found that debris was left on both the eastbound and westbound carriageway of the A14 at Orwell Bridge.
The lorry was able to move off the road after reaching the eastern side of the bridge and recovery was at the scene to clear the road.
A rolling roadblock was in place on the eastbound carriageway and drivers were warned of delays and advised to avoid the area.
