A man from Ipswich who allegedly tried to import 70kg of drugs through Dover has been remanded in custody before his crown court appearance.
Fredrick McDade, 26, of Hollycroft Close, Ipswich, is accused of two counts of attempting to import class A drugs and one count of attempting to import class B drugs.
He entered no plea at Margate Magistrates’ Court on August 19 to the charges.
On August 16 of this year at Dover, it is alleged he tried to import 10kg of cocaine, 10kg of MDMA and 50kg of ketamine.
The defendant is set to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on September 23.
