A lane closure on the Orwell Bridge is causing severe delays to some bus services throughout Ipswich and the surrounding villages.
Ipswich Buses have said that a number of their services have been affected by the westbound lane closure that has been in place since Friday evening.
A spokesman for the company said: "Due to the closure of one westbound lane on the Orwell Bridge, this is causing severe delays particularly on routes 1,2,3,4,5,6.
"We are doing our best to get to you and get you to your destination."
The closure caused long rush hour delays on Monday with queues forming back to the Seven Hills Interchange.
National Highways put the closure in place on Friday and a spokesman said the lane will be closed "until further notice".
The spokesman added: "We appreciate the impact this will have on the local community but taking this course of action is necessary to ensure all road users remain safe whilst travelling on our road networks."
