A 48-year-old woman who stole vapes from a B&M store in Ipswich has been told by magistrates to pay more than £250 in fines and costs.
Hayley Goold, who is of Brickfield Close in Ipswich, appeared before Suffolk Magistrates' Court accused of theft from a shop.
A court listing revealed the charge related to the theft of £45.45 worth of vapes from a branch of the budget retailer B&M in Ipswich.
The listing did not specify which branch in the Suffolk town the incident happened at.
The theft happened on June 19 this year.
Goold pleaded guilty to the offence.
She was handed a fine of £120, told to pay costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £85 and a surcharge of £48 - meaning the total amount the defendant was told to pay was £253.
Goold's guilty plea for the offence was taken into account when magistrates decided on her sentence.
The money she has been instructed to pay will be deducted from her benefits.
