The developers behind a new car wash near a busy roundabout in Ipswich have lodged an appeal after its initial plans were refused.
In January, plans were submitted to install an automated car wash and six electric vehicle charging points on a vacant piece of land in Greyfriars Road, next to Cardinal Park and the College Street roundabout, opposite the Novotel.
These plans were refused, however, by the council for the second time, after similar plans were submitted in June last year.
These were also refused in August 2023 citing concerns about the impact it would have on air quality.
This time round, plans were approved due to the loss of biodiversity and the it would "not be attractive".
Developers have lodged an appeal which has been validated, with a decision to either uphold the decision or overturn the outcome of the plans yet to be revealed.
