An investigation has been launched to find the cause of an Ipswich house fire which broke out in the early hours of the morning.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service were called to the blaze in Moore Road at 2.15am on Monday, September 30. 

Two engines from Princess Street and one from Ipswich East attended the scene.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the flames using hose reel jets and a larger covering jet. 

No casualties have been reported. 

A spokesman for the fire service said an investigation into the cause of the fire will take place later today.
