An Ipswich man has been given a community order and fined over £114 by Suffolk Magistrates' Court after pleading guilty to assault.
The court imposed a community order on Liam Marsh, of Parnell Road, until July 2026 and to cooperate with a 60-day alcohol abstinence programme enforced through the installation of monitoring equipment.

Additionally, the court fined the defendant £114 for the offence - giving him just over two weeks to pay the fine.
Marsh, who is 44, was convicted of beating Jade Watt on June 5 in Highfield Road in Ipswich as well as using threatening and abusive words and abusive words/behaviour likely to cause alarm or distress contrary to Section 5(1) and (6) of the Public Order Act 1986, according to a court listing.
