The trial of an Ipswich man who has denied raping or sexually assaulting nine women is expected to get underway at the town’s crown court next week.
Before Ipswich Crown Court on Thursday was Paul Saunders, 51, who is of Eagle Street, Ipswich.
He pleaded not guilty to three offences of rape, six offences of sexual assault and one of assault by penetration.
The offences relate to nine women and are alleged to have been committed between June 2012 and February 2020.
A jury has been empanelled and the prosecution is expected to open the case, which is expected to end in December, on Monday.
Saunders is on bail.
