A singer from Ipswich has shared his delight to be performing in one of his "bucket list venue".
Ashton Jones, a rising soul star, will perform at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Saturday, October 19.
He is taking part in The Sound of Philadelphia concert, alongside Beverley Knight, Roachford and Omar, in an event that celebrates 50 years of Philadelphia International Records.
The event is to be hosted by Sir Lenny Henry and will be filmed to go out on the BBC later in the year.
It will also be played on BBC Radio 2.
The event will feature music from the Philly Soul era, including songs from Teddy Pendergrass, The O'Jays and Patti LaBelle, with all artists performing with the BBC Concert Orchestra.
Ashton said: "The Royal Albert Hall is a proper bucket list venue for me, so I am absolutely delighted to have the opportunity of singing some of the most influential soul songs ever written, on one of the greatest, most prestigious stages in the world.
"I’m going to have a lot of fun up there. I really can’t wait."
This will be another prestigious music venue for Ashton to tick off, after previously performing at the London Palladium, and having his voice featured in an Amazon Christmas advert.
He has also performed on Dancing with the Stars and provided his voice for Lenor's TV adverts and radio commercials for car buyer and seller Cazoo.
The Royal Albert Hall has hosted some of the biggest names in music over its 153-year history, including The Beatles, Elton John, Dame Shirley Bassey.
World leaders have also spoken at the venue including Queen Elizabeth II, Winston Churchill, Nelson Mandela and members of the Suffragette movement.
