The trial of an Ipswich man who has denied rape and sexual assault is set to begin on Monday.
Saunders, 51 and of Eagle Street, has pleaded not guilty to three offences of rape, six counts of sexual assault and one of assault by penetration.
The offences relate to nine women and are alleged to have been committed between June 2012 and February 2020.
It was expected that the trial would get underway this week. On Friday, Rossano Scamardella, counsel for the prosecution, told the court that further enquiries had been required before the trial could commence.
Mr Scamardella confirmed that these enquiries are now complete, meaning that the trial can begin on Monday.
