A procession through town will be held as Portman Road will once again host Suffolk veterans for this weekend's dedicated Remembrance event.
Not for profit company Combat2Coffee is organising the event at what is Ipswich Town's last home fixture before Remembrance Day.
It will be the third Medals2Matches event and is the brainchild of Combat2Coffee founder and Royal Anglian regiment veteran Nigel Seaman.
The Blues take on against Leicester City on Saturday.
Ipswich Town have provided 30 free tickets to Combat2Coffee who are distributing them to veterans and serving personnel.
Veterans are being encouraged to meet at Bar Twenty One from around noon onwards where Mr Seaman will give a short speech before a performance of The Last Post by 86-year-old veteran Phil Hubert.
A military bagpiper will then lead a procession to Portman Road with veterans arriving at the Fanzone from around 1.45pm.
They will be joined by Ipswich and England legends Terry Butcher and Russell Osman.
In June Mr Butcher became patron of Combat2Coffee. His son Christopher who had been an army captain died aged 35 in 2017 after battling Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Mr Seaman said that he developed the idea for the event as a way of uniting veterans.
He said: "We only wear our medals at funerals or Remembrance Sundays, and I thought it could break down barriers."
He added that Mr Butcher was particularly keen to attend.
Mr Seaman added: "I think it says a lot about the event when you've got an inspirational person like him wanting to be there.
"Terry is our patron because of his own journey with his son Christopher. Russell was Chris's godfather. They came to the event last year and loved it."
