A drug dealer who hid cocaine in his underwear is among three men to be jailed for a combination of six years. 

Antonio Dimitrov, Aleks Dimitrov and Penko Pishmishev were each jailed for two years for supplying cocaine at Ipswich Crown Court.

Two of the men were detained by officers when stopped in their car by the Sentinel South team in Hadleigh in April 2024 and found to have no insurance.

After a search of their phones and hotel room in Ipswich, Antonio Dimitrov and Aleks Dimitrov were arrested on suspicion of being involved in the supply of cocaine. Penko Pishmishev, who was also staying there was subsequently arrested.

In addition £1,500 in cash and a passport belonging to another man convicted of drug offences in Ipswich was also found.

Aleks Dimitrov, of Tolworth Broadway, Surbiton, and Pishmishev, Ipswich, both claimed the cocaine found was for personal use and that they were not involved in the supply of drugs in Ipswich.

All three of the men were charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine and remanded in custody. 

After being remanded by Suffolk Magistrates and appearing at Ipswich Crown Court on July 11, all three pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine.

They were sentenced at Ipswich Crown Court on October 18.

In addition to the jail term, the court ordered that the drugs and phones should be destroyed and the £1,455 in cash seized be forfeited.

Sgt Dave Logan, of the Sentinel South team said: “Our investigation shows that each of these males was working for an organised crime group and came to Suffolk simply to sell drugs, they have not given any positive contribution to Suffolk.

"I am very mindful that organised groups often have links with other serious crimes and arrests like this frustrate their operations.

"It therefore remains a focus of my team and we will continue to identify, arrest and imprison those involved in this type of organised crime.”
