Work to build a new link road in Ipswich is progressing well, Suffolk Highways has announced.
A two-way single link road is being put in place as an extension to Europa Way between the end of the existing road and Bramford Road.
A mini-roundabout will also be constructed to form a new junction with Bramford Road.
Work on the new link road began in September and earlier this month Suffolk Highways said the foundation for the road was placed.
Now 150 metres of kerbing has been installed and the drainage installations are ongoing, a spokesman for Suffolk Highways has said.
The spokesman added: "The vegetation has been cleared from the Europa Way side of the site, allowing for the construction of the footpath to begin.
"Temporary traffic signals remain in place along Bramford Road to allow utilities to continue their service diversions."
Bramford Road will also be fully closed at some stage during the project.
Suffolk County Council has said it anticipates the closure being in early 2025 and those living along Bramford Road will receive a letter closer to the time.
