An Ipswich café are offering meals for isolated people this winter from as little as £3.50.
Emmaus Suffolk are once again offering the meals during Christmas time at The Royal Oak on Felixstowe Road.
To fund the bargain roasts for vulnerable people, the charity are once again offering affordable beef, turkey and vegan roast dinners with all the trimmings for £12.50 every Sunday at 12pm and 1pm.
The charity is also re-launching their Christmas Meal Appeal, where £5 can be donated to gift a meal forward to someone struggling financially.
The appeal also ran last year, with the organisation raising £1,744 which provided funding for 500 meals for vulnerable people in Suffolk.
A giving tree will also be placed in the café, where customers at The Royal Oak can donate £5 towards keeping the price low for those feeling isolated this winter.
Claire Staddon, chief executive of Emmaus Suffolk said: “We’re really pleased to be offering our affordable Sunday roast again this year – it’s a customer favourite and we love to see friends and family gather at our site.
"Winter is a very tough time for many people with bills rising and it’s a time where loneliness creeps in and affects the most vulnerable in our communities.
"Our Winter Meal Appeal means we can maintain low prices in our café and ensure we can keep our warm space heated throughout the colder months.”
Emmaus Suffolk provides supported housing, employment and training schemes, work opportunities and wellbeing support across Ipswich and Felixstowe, whilst also providing a warm and safe space at The Royal Oak.
