It's a huge occasion for Ipswich Town Women on Saturday March 23 when they play their historic game at Portman Road - and the Ipswich Star will be there, cheering them on.
In their first-ever league fixture at our beloved ground, Joe Sheehan's side face Chatham Town and all four stands will be open.
Thousands are expected to attend and, as for do for every ITFC home game, we will be selling our traditional EADT goodie bags, containing a copy of the Ipswich Star and the East Anglian Daily Times, plus a bottle of water, a bag of Kettle crisps, a bag of popcorn and a chocolate bar.
Both papers will feature a full preview of the match by our football expert Stuart Watson as well as other coverage, so don't miss out on getting your copies!
We wish Ipswich Town women all the best for the game and hope it is the first of many appearances on the hallowed turf.
Full coverage of the match will be online on Saturday and in the paper on Monday from our Ipswich Town Women reporter Tom Cann.
